If anime has a real-world equivalent to a power-up system, it's progressive overload — the simple idea that your body adapts to a training stimulus, so the stimulus has to keep increasing for progress to continue.
Doing the exact same workout, with the exact same weight, for the exact same reps, indefinitely, will get you to a plateau and keep you there. Small, gradual increases in the demand you place on your body are what drive continued adaptation.
Trying to add weight, reps and sets all in the same session is a fast way to stall or get hurt. Change one variable at a time and let your body adapt before pushing the next lever.
This is general training information, not a personalized program. If you're new to strength training or managing an injury, a qualified coach or medical professional can help you apply these principles safely to your specific situation.
